Kasia

Kasia is a proud mommy to Emma and Ella. She volunteers for Green Town Community Garden, Clean Power Lake County, Sierra Club, Tenth Dems, advocates for the homeless, immigrants, and domestic violence victims. Occasionally, she gets to put away the laundry. Her work is in currently in administrative but dreams of becoming a teacher. She loves to go to food festivals with her boyfriend, Andres. Her favorite song is “Here Comes the Sun” and she adores hyacinths, barbecue, Polish food, Harleys, soccer, and sci-fi books. Kasia was born in Wroclaw, Poland and raised in Baltimore.

 

 

 

 

Emma

Eleven year old Emma is a 5th grader at Waukegan’s Greenwood Elementary school where she is in after school chorus and plays clarinet. She enjoys volunteering for Green Town Community Garden, Clean Power Lake County, Sierra Club, volunteer work, advocating against bullying, gardening, playing volleyball, and singing. Her goal is to become future Madame President and aspires to attend Harvard college. Her favorite color is blue, she has a pet leopard gecko, loves pierogi, mac and cheese, and is a “part time vegetarian”. Her middle name means Raspberry in Polish. Her sister is Ella and her mom is Kasia.

 

 

 

 

Ella 

Seven year old Ella is a 1st grader at Waukegan’s Greenwood Elementary school where she loves STEM lab and is a big helper to her classmates and teacher. She also loves volunteering for Green Town Community Garden, Clean Power Lake County, Sierra Club, volunteering in her community, worm farming and potato bug hunting, playing volleyball, gardening, playing at the park, walking at Chicago Botanic Garden, and climbing. Her goal is to become an architect so that she can build houses and cars. Her favorite color is pink, she loves her Dziadek, cat, and fish, eating chili, hot sauce, and takis.
