Grant Recipient!

Grant Recipient!

News&Events
We have exciting garden news to share. Greentown is the recipient of a $500 Gro2000 grant! Scotts/Miracle Gro is enabling our organization to finish the irrigation system this year. Watering is always a challenge with large gardens such as ours and now we will be able to automate a good portion of the work. Hand watering is routinely needed, but deep root soaking with drip irrigation helps the plants survive heat with less stress. Thank you Scotts for your support!

Looking over the garden plan from 2015 with what worked and what could have been done better becomes a blur as this review reminds us of the crops that our partner Community Christian Church is able to obtain through the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
